Black Square Gallery - Miami,FL - U.S.A

.
Black Square Gallery opened its doors in 2010, in the heart of Wynwood, Miami Art District, to present contemporary art processes and selected artists to collectors and all art-lovers. Interacting with our visitors, clients and represented artists, we complement the gallery exhibitions with creative discussions, lectures and master classes. The gallery takes part in 5-7 international art-fairs annually, and we organize 6-7 shows in the gallery space per year.
Installations, photography, new and mixed media works are on the main focus at the gallery. However, those exhibitions are alternated with shows of contemporary paintings and sculptures as well.

We are pleased to show our visitors and collectors a group of established artists, participants of the Venice Biennale and other significant art events, as well as talented and promising young artist from the U.S., Spain, Ukraine, Argentina, Japan, France, Colombia, Switzerland, Italy and other countries. This makes the gallery a great platform for presentation of international art-scene for informed collectors, as well as for the beginners.
Black Square Gallery organizes Dream Catcher international art festival for young artists who work with installations in the gallery space every December.

The gallery’s name comes from the picture by avant-garde and supremacist artist Kazimir Malevich (1879, Kiev – 1935, Leningrad) “Black Square” (1915), which revolutionized art and largely determined the course of its future development. “Black Square” became one of the first steps of transition to conceptual art, and today it is a symbol of art complex, philosophical, elitist and innovation.

The gallery was founded by Anna Milashevych and Ronald Kritzler
