1965: Karl-Ernst Joellenbeck and Michael Nickel founded the GALERIE M. E. THELEN in Essen and 1969 also in Cologne.
1975 they changed the Galleryname to GALERIE JOELLENBECK.
After the death of K. E. Joellenbeck, Michael Nickel continued the Gallery.
