Bonni Benrubi Gallery - New York - USA

Bonni Benrubi Gallery was founded in 1987 on the Upper East Side of New York City. Since its inception, the Gallery has specialized exclusively in photographs and continues to do so to this day. Bonni Benrubi has over 32 years of experience in the field, having worked alongside some of the most important pioneering figures in the contemporary and vintage photography market.
The gallery’s focus is on 20th century and contemporary photography. The stable of artists includes such established masters as Andreas Feininger and Louis Stettner - two American icons of the medium. The contemporary stable includes Massimo Vitali, known for his scenes of people at leisure in large format color, Simon Norfolk, a documenter of the ravages of war and strife in the world, and Abelardo Morell, who photographs the ordinary in life and makes it extraordinary using various techniques such as camera obscura, cliche verre and photograms. Additionally, the gallery represents younger artists such as Matthew Pillsbury, whose time-lapse images result in beautiful and compelling narratives about the passage of time, and the French artist Cedric Delsaux, whose photographs explore the ambivalent relationship between man and nature.
We have a strong commitment to our artists and have worked with galleries and institutions around the world to establish their careers. Most of our artists have had extensive museum activity, monographs, critical acclaim and important recognition from the international collecting community. The gallery assists both beginning and veteran collectors in locating, buying and selling work of all 20th century, established and emerging photographers.
The gallery moved to the Fuller Building at 41 East 57th Street in 2004 to an expanded space and facility.
